🌌 Human Touch in the Age of AI 🌌

First Chapter – The Modern Shaman

Modern life over the past few centuries has changed everything—including the ways we understand spirituality and healing. Science and modern medicine have dispelled many old beliefs, and scientific thinking has reshaped how many of us perceive reality.

Qualities once attributed to God or spirit are now often framed as aspects of the natural order we seek to understand scientifically.

Yet spirituality remains vital for most of us. Something in the soul still feels awe and love when we encounter the world. What religion once defined—and still defines for many—has increasingly become an individual quest, one that can flourish far beyond the boundaries of traditional dogma.

Beginning in the mid-20th century, this emergence of personal spirituality sparked an ongoing search: How can we cherish the miraculous and our mysterious connection to the universe without relying on the familiar framework of organized religion? Many have discovered that this individual search can flower strong and well, far beyond the reach of religious doctrines.

From these experiences arises what I call the Modern Shaman. A modern shaman is someone who has undergone deep inner work—healing old wounds, breaking free from childhood conditioning, and blossoming into a unique human being. This person might be a meditation practitioner, a dancer, an artist, or a healer. I count myself among them.

The modern shaman is not perfect; he or she remains on a continuing journey of healing and spiritual discovery. But what defines this path is a powerful passion—sharing that flame of love and light with others.

And now humanity steps into the age of AI. We are discovering together what it means to be spiritual humans in a world shaped by intelligent machines. Like many, I feel concern about AI’s possible implications. Yet I am also deeply excited—thrilled, even—by the vast journey that lies ahead.
